Inside the South Shores Community
There is internet in many Villas. In Villa #39 there’s free internet access, as well as free Stan and Netflix.
This allows kids and parents to visit their favourite social media channels, retail sites even stay in toucch with work if needed etc. The family can catch up on documentaries and other educational channels. Kids can even research for their school assignments (as if!)
Board Games are provided in many Villas so the family can gather around and become property magnates without passing go and collecting $200.
Nearby Normanville Beach
The famous Normanville beach is a short stroll or roll on the private boardwalk. Normanville Beach extends for kilometres north and south from the boardwalk exit. This is a safe swimming beach with small waves and a sandy graduated slop into the water. Amazingly its free of the crowds you’ll see on most of our beaches becuases its a few minutes walk from the jetty. Keep an eye out for the local dolphins playing in the shallows, and Ive seen people fishing from the beach as well.
A few hundred metres North is the Normanville Jetty and its well-stocked Normanville Kiosk. Their barista-made coffee is just what a doting parent needs to maintain their stamina.
If you prefer to drive rather than walk to the jetty, there is a large car park adjacent to the Camping Grounds which leads down to the kiosk and jetty area.
Teach the kids to fish from the jetty, or enjoy the peace of mind of allowing the kids to play in the water under the supervision of the local Surf Life Savers.
In the neighbourhood
If one or more of your children are a bit older, they might enjoy a horseback trail ride through the sandhills, the beach and the local area.
There are a variety of local markets in Normanville and further down the Fleurieu Peninsula at Yankallia, Inman Valley and Second Valley. Create some special holiday memories, sprinkled with trinkets from these markets to create life-long memories with the kids.
